We focus mostly on film news and reviews, and important video game news and reviews.

FilterHYPE was started by two entertainment lovers, both to fuel their obsession with film, and as a serious business venture.

Both men have had a lifelong love affair with writing, as well as professional writing experience. Alan Lane has been and continues to be a contributing video game reviewer for other websites. Matt Poyner has worked as a reporter/editor at a couple of small newspapers.

This website is our way of bringing together a passion for entertainment news, and a passion for writing. It gives an outlet to the rabid movie geek inside us.
